Studio Mistakes

Workshops and Private Lessons

If a workshop or private lesson attendee's pottery is lost, damaged or recklessly glazed we will compensate them in a way that we think is appropriate.  Circumstances always differ a bit.  Additionally, pottery is an imperfect process and sometimes defects arise that are out of our control.  We often compensate attendees with a discount on a future workshop.

Classes and Independent Study

Lost, broken, cracked and misfired pottery happens at a studio.  Pottery by nature is fragile, and there are many times throughout a pot's life cycle when it is vulnerable to human error.  Our staff is as careful as possible when handling pottery, but some loss is inevitable.  We do not compensate students for these things.  It's part the pottery making process and something that all studios deal with.  We ask that students be understanding of these mishaps if and when they do happen.

Missed Events

Workshops and Private Lessons

If an Indigo Fire teacher misses a workshop or private lesson due to a scheduling mistake or an unforeseen occurrence, the attendees of that event will be refunded and issued a credit to take a future workshop/private lesson at half of the registration fee.

Inappropriate Behavior

Workshops, Private Lessons, Classes & Independent Study

Indigo Fire teachers and staff may excuse any participant in a workshop, private lesson, class or independent study from the studio if they damage studio property, are acting unsafely, threaten or make another individual in the studio uncomfortable, refuse to adhere to studio/event rules or behave in any other way that warrants a dismissal.  Participants dismissed in this manner are not entitled to a refund.
