Careers

Across our two locations, Indigo Fire has a wide variety of opportunities for engagement that support our multi-week classes, one-time workshops, and independent study program.

Semester Teachers

We offer a range of skill levels for classes that meet for 2 hours per week for 12 consecutive weeks. If you have experience teaching in an adult setting, shoot us an email!

Weekend Staff

Weekend staff are responsible for opening & closing the studio on Saturday and Sundays. We have 2 staff members on each weekend day.

Workshop Instructors

We run four One-Time workshops each weekend that operate at a beginner level. Instructors usually teach 2-3 workshops a month. This is a great way to get involved with the studio without the weekly commitment!

Studio Technicians

We have four full time studio techs & managers who are responsible for running the studio during the week. All applicants for studio tech positions should have a strong ceramic background.

Work Exchange

Interested in increasing your technical knowledge? Work Exchange participants work 4 hours per week in the studio in exchange for an Independent Study. Learn more and sign up for our waitlist here.

Summer Program Teachers, Counselors, and CITS

We offer a children's and a teen program each summer. Teachers must be 18 & have both clay and classroom management experience. Counselors must be 16 & have some ceramic experience. CITs must be 14+ and have a helpful spirit.

Current Openings

Semester Teachers:
We keep a wide circle in our teaching community and love to have new faces & fresh aesthetics in the studio. If you have a strong background in teaching, send us an email with your resume to indigofirestudio@gmail.com. We'll be in touch with opportunities as they arise.

Workshop Instructors:

Workshops are groups of 9 or 10 beginners who join us at set times on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for 2-2.5 hours. Instructors are expected to provide 1-2 group demonstrations of preparing clay, centering, and forming a cup or bowl shape followed by individual attention and pointers for folks at the wheel. Are you confident in your intro throwing? Send us an email to join the workshop teacher lineup.
