A Miniseries
The Basics & Beginnings session for July is full, but we are running two sessions in August that are now open for registration!
What is Basics & Beginnings?
This mini series covers the basics of throwing, trimming, and glazing. A perfect option for anyone ages 16+ who has tried out & enjoyed a one-time workshop- it's a mini semester class that covers the full pottery process. The full session is $280, which includes instruction, materials, glaze and firings. It does not include outside practice time.
Structure:
Class 1: Wheel Throwing
Learn the basics of throwing!
Class 2: Wheel Throwing
Throw to your heart's content.
Class 3: Trimming
You'll learn how trim the pieces you made in the previous two classes.
Class 4: Glazing & Decorating
We make sure your work is prioritized for bisque so that it is ready for you to glaze during your final class.
Picking Up Completed Pots
Indigo Fire will take two weeks to complete the glaze firing after your fourth and final class. Finished pots are stored for 3 months from the date of the final class session. Forgotten pots are cleared out after this period of time.​​
Duration: Four classes, meeting weekly.
July- on Saturdays from 10:30-12:30
The first class is July 11th, running through August 1st.
August- on Saturdays from 10:30 - 12:30
The first class is August 8th, running through August 29th.
August- on Sundays from 10:30 - 12:30
The first class is August 9th, running through August 30th.
**Please note that no makeup classes will be available. If you are not certain that you'll be able to attend all four sessions, please wait to register for a future session in which you have full availability.
